Senior Rugby League

Open Age Rugby

The heartbeat of Ince Rose Bridge. Our senior section carries on a proud tradition of amateur rugby league that stretches back to 1926. Hard-hitting, passionate, and always representing Ince with pride, we provide a competitive pathway for players at all stages of their rugby journey.

We are currently fielding two competitive squads. Our 1st Team competes in the North West Conference League, while our A Team has recently entered the North West Entry League with the clear aspiration of gaining entry into the North West Men's League next season.

Whether you're a seasoned player or looking to get back into the game, we are always looking for new faces to pull on the red and black. Everyone is welcome to get involved, from those seeking elite competition to those returning to the sport. Training is twice a week and the atmosphere is second to none.

Ince Rose Bridge Juniors

Building the next generation of rugby league players right here in Ince. Our junior section runs teams from Under 7s all the way through to Under 15s, developing young players in a safe, encouraging environment where they learn the skills of the game, build friendships, and grow in confidence.

Open to boys and girls of all abilities. No experience needed — just a willingness to get stuck in, have fun, and be part of a team. Our qualified coaches are dedicated to helping every young player reach their potential and love the game.

Rose Bridge Pantheresses

What started with just three girls in April 2023 has grown into one of the most thriving girls rugby league sections in the North West. The Rose Bridge Pantheresses now run seven age groups and the section is still growing — a testament to the incredible coaches, parents, and young players who've made it what it is.

The Pantheresses name carries real history at the club. Whether your daughter has played before or has never touched a rugby ball, she'll be welcomed, supported, and part of something special from day one.

Mini Bridgers

Running for over 10 years, the Mini Bridgers is where the journey begins. Held on Sunday mornings in The Dome, these sessions take children from 15 months right through to age 7 — building core skills, confidence, and teamwork through fun, structured coaching.

From toddling and running to tag rugby and team games, the Mini Bridgers is the foundation of the club's junior pathway. It's where future players fall in love with the game, make their first mates on the pitch, and feed into the U7s and beyond.

Masters Rugby League

Ince Rose Bridge Masters

Think your playing days are behind you? Think again. The Ince Rose Bridge Masters is a social, non-competitive format designed for men aged 35+ and women aged 30+ — keeping older players active, fit, and involved in the game they love.

Games are 13-a-side with modified rules that prioritise safety. Players wear coloured shorts to indicate their contact level — white or black for full contact, red for limited, and gold, green, or blue for non-contact. It's about fitness, friendship, and enjoying the game without the pressure.

Learning Disability Rugby League

Ince Rose Bridge LDRL

One of the sections we're most proud of. The Ince Rose Bridge LDRL is a community-focused rugby programme designed specifically for children and young people with learning disabilities or associated conditions.

It's a non-competitive, tag-based format played on a quarter-pitch with seven players per side. Teams include facilitators — non-disabled players who help the game flow — and the focus is entirely on enjoyment, social inclusion, and building confidence. The LDRL section proves that rugby league really is a sport for everyone.

Darts & Dominoes

It's not all about what happens on the pitch. The Clubhouse is home to thriving darts and dominoes teams — ladies and men — competing in local leagues and bringing that proper club atmosphere every week.

Whether you're a seasoned player or just fancy giving it a go, the darts and dominoes sections are open to all age groups. It's competitive, social, and a great excuse to get down to the club midweek. Everyone's welcome.
