Why Ince Rose Bridge?
If you're looking for a community sports club in Wigan, you've found it. Ince Rose Bridge has been the heart of Ince-in-Makerfield since 1926. We're not a corporate gym or a faceless organisation — we're a registered charity run by people who live here, play here, and care about this community.
We offer rugby league for all ages — from Mini Bridgers as young as four, through youth and women's teams, to open age men's rugby competing in the North West League. Our wheelchair rugby league section makes us one of the most inclusive grassroots clubs in Greater Manchester. And our crown green bowling section has been a fixture of the club for years.
Beyond sport, our two venues — The Clubhouse and The Dome — host everything from weddings and parties in Wigan to community meetings, scout groups, and live entertainment. We're a venue for hire in Wigan with a difference — because everything you spend here goes back into the club and the community.
Proud winners of the 2025 Believe Club of the Year Award, we're committed to being a place where everyone in Ince, Wigan, and beyond is welcome. Whether you want to play sport, volunteer your time, sponsor a team, or just pop in for a pint on a Wednesday — The Bridge is your place.
